Completed a successful trip (Convoy) to Thunder Bay and back! As you saw in the main blog, there were a couple of hic-ups: John Currie's MB - died 4 miles before we started; Louie Larson's MB - died just south of Marine on St Croix; David Allton's Land Rover gave up, about 12 miles out of Grand Portage. Those were the big ones!

People we have to thank for the planning in Thunder Bay are Stephanie Erickson and Malcolm Heathcote (a local Thunder Bay Offroad Jeep Club) and to Captian George Romick (Ret) Lake Superior Scottish Regiment (the Director of the Thunder Bay Military Museum). Also like to thank Robert Fuhrman (the director of the Richard I Bong Historic Veterans Center). Than to Gene Olson for all the information on repair shops up the North Shore, plus the stop at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.

I hope that to all, that they had a great time on this trip and hopefully we can do another trip in the future.

Oh yeah, there was the weather issue! Had rain on Thursday morning, when we were trying to rally up to go.
Than on Friday, we had rain coming our way in Beaver Bay, while we were at lunch at Camp 61 (outstanding food). Than soldiered on to the Minnesota Veterans Home for our visit, for an hour and a half. Than in and out of rain on the way to Grand Portage.
No rain on Sunday till we were almost in Duluth, towards the end of the day.
On our last day (Monday), a drizzly mess leaving Superior.
